If doan comes there goes any Lu leverage. He will essentially get traded for a 3rd rounder.

We are willing to throw just under 8 mil to a soon to be 36 year old, but wouldn't offer any of that money to a younger free agent?

Understand his veteran presence, and his grit.. But is he REALLY worth THAT much? I hope the Canucks do get him, because I would rather save that money for someone who is actually worth that.
